1. Who are they?
Bakers Eddy. A punk band from Wellington, New Zealand, who are fighting out of Melbourne, Australia, at the minute. Jack Shit For You (Sept'17) is one of a handful of singles these chaps have made.
2. What have Bakers Eddy got going for them?
A youthful, barebones, no bullshit, take on pop-punk. Not too much fat on the bone; a bit of slack in the breakdown and a superfluous outro, but otherwise the cunts charge at the guns with furious riffs blazing. Choice.
3. Who do they sound like?
Ekko Park, Living End, and FIDLAR.
4. What have those scamps in the press said about Baker's Eddy?
“Not fucking around” – Pile Rats.
“A
fast tempo, dirty pop-punk tune full of youthful desperation” – The Rock.
“As subtle as a nail
through the foot” – Hysteria.
5. Which bands have put the lead in Bakers Eddy's pencil?
Green Day, Smith Street Band, Foo Fighters, Shihad, and Dune Rats.
6. What's so hot?
Grungy, pop-punk.
7. Have they got any more bangers?
8. Any more words?
Jack Shit For You is produced by Tom Larkin from the iconic Kiwi rock band Shihad.
The Flatliners are a punk rock band from Ontario, Canada. Nicotine Lips (Feb’17) is the lead
single from their fifth album Inviting
Light (April’17). The Flatliners are influenced by The Smith Street Band
and Hot Water Music. They have been compared to Against Me!, The Menzingers, and
Red Radio City. Nicotine Lips throbs along on bass notes and is celebratory rock'n'roll.
