The Crispies are a garage/punk band from Vienna, Austria. They have been raising Valhalla since 2014 and Ring My Doorstep (March'17) is the fourth single from their debut album Death Row Kids (Oct'16). 

2. What kind of tune are they kicking it with?

Ring My Doorstep is a primal re-invention of Queen's Will We Will Rock You; stripped down to the bone and with grit not glam. Hip hop and punk rock come together into a song that swaggers into the party, oozing intensity and as cool as fuck. Slam-poet Anna adds some twist to the vodka.

The Orwells, PARTYBABY and The White Stripes.

St. Tropez are a garage punk band from Amsterdam, Holland. They have been tearing it up (in their recent reincarnation) since 2014 and have one long player in the vault. St. Tropez’s favorite music varies from Dinosaur Jr. and Wilco to Bach. They sound like Beck crossed with The Stooges. Democracy (Feb’17) is the lead single from their E.P. Debate (Feb’17) and is a greedy garage riff backing a hip hop influenced vocal delivery with a harsh word to say about the current political climate.

1.    Who are these try hards?

These ne'er-do-wells are The Crispies, a garage punk-pop band from Austria, Vienna. The Crispies have been whinging about how good they've got it since 2014 and have one album to their name. Noose'N'Go (Oct'16) is the second single off their debut album Death Row Kids (Oct'16).

2. Has the tune got the goods?

Oh fuck yeah. Noose'N'Go rolls along at a lackadaisical speed but the drums thump at heartbeat pace, a rusty riff rides point and the vocals wail along. A slow-burner but a primal, garagey, masterpiece emerges covered in welts and stinking of piss and blood.

The Jesus and Mary Chain, Cloud Nothings and The Arctic Monkeys (if they had sand).

The tune is primal. Nasty. Dark.

Bad Blood is the band's best. A skeezy, stripped down punk track that sashays through the door of the club with swagger and then proceeds to propel the heaving mass of humanity, one and all, to Valhalla.

44^th Sunset are an indie pop band from Perth, Australia. They have recorded a few E.P.'s and sound a bit like New Politics, Youngblood Hawke or Young The Giant. 44th Sunset are influenced by Avril Lavigne, Linkin Park and Jay Z. In 2014 they had their debut single Caesar (2012) when they were 17 years old.  Caesar is a mainstream indie pop-rock cracker and a song ABC described as “super catchy indie pop.”

     1.    Who are these posers?

     The Crispies are an indie pop rock band, with a dash of punk, from Vienna, Austria. The Crispies started rocking it in 2014 and have one E.P to their names. Bad Blood (June’16) is the band’s debut single and the lead single from their debut album Death Row Kids (Oct’16).

       2. How does Bad Blood stack up? 

     Bad Blood is a stripped down, skeezy, punk track that sashays it's way into your heart full of confidence and with it's seductive hips swaying. The classic sound of a guitar plugged into an amp kicks this bitch into action followed by a slow stomp with sharp lead licks tossed off willy nilly. Bad Blood reeks of piss and blood in a basement gig where the music is propelling a heaving mass of humanity toward divinity.

     3. Who are The Crispies similar to?

     The Crispies have been compared to The White Stripes by Critical Pixie, The Ramones by Home At The Heroes and The Arctic Monkeys by Music Austria.

     APES are a garage rock band from Ballarat, Australia, who fight out of Melbourne at the minute. The band have been compared to Foals and Queens Of The Stone Age and have an E.P and a single on their roll call of honor. A debut album is due in October. APES are a raw, gut punching band that have scored support slots for luminaries such as Royal Blood, Band Of Skulls and FIDLAR. Pull The Trigger (2014) is APES at their best; a tune with a cracking riff up front, a raw, stripped back sound and a massive chorus. Get some.
