OK Go are an indie rock band from Chicago, Illinois. Playing together since 1998 they have recorded four albums. Interesting Drug (Jan'17) is a stand alone single.

Interesting Drug is a Morrissey cover that's been funked up with OK Go's 80's pop vibe and a lilting ska-esque undertone. A laid back, gently bouncy, tune to accompany a stinging rebuke.

There is a wealth to choose from. The synthy white boy funk of I Won't Let You Down is king. What an ass shaker. This Too Shall Pass is melancholic happiness. Get Over It rocks.

Young Romance are an indie pop rock band from London, England. They are a duo and started playing together in 2012. Young Romance sound like The Primitives, Best Coast or Bleached. Pale (2014) is from their debut album Another's Blood (2016). Pale is two minutes of achingly beautiful vocals laid over some gritty fucking guitar and crashing drums. It'll get you by the short and curlies.

The Best Indie Songs of 2014 - OK Go

OK Go I Won’t Let You Down (Oct’14) is funky like an alleyway sleeping hobos cheesy foreskin. Jackson 5 I Want You Back type funky. Or white funky really like Maroon 5 This Love. A quick intro and straight into the chorus and Turkey necks are contagious.

 

 

 

 

Any which ways it’s got a spritely rhythm and lashings of synths and pianer too. Tip top track all said, give it a crack and you'll be as happy as a pig in shit, this is world class. And the video, even by OK Go's high standards, is pretty fucking good.

That groove is the second single off the Chicago bands fourth album and fourth round of sweetness Hungry Ghosts (Oct’14). These cats have been trucking since 1998.

OK Go’s latest album dug the vibes of 80’s pop like Prince, New Order and INXS.

Some critics find their albums a bit eclectic and hit or miss.

The Best Indie Songs of 2014 - Eytan and The Embassy

 

 

Eytan and the Embassy Weekend Warrior (March’14) is a to-die-for track indie pop track. Weekend Warrior is smart, uplifting, swings and it’s got some soul.

That Weekend Warrior has a killer chorus goes without saying. Hi-lar-i-ous video for a wicked groovy song, only a cockhole couldn't love this song.


 

 

Eytan and The Embassy have been hard pimping it in the New York City since 2009.

Eytan and The Embassy would put you on the mean streets unless you are listening to Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Brian Wilson, Radiohead, Springsteen and The Strokes.

Eytan and The Embassy are too busy bitch slapping the Johns hard to make albums. If you need more baby more, their song Everything Changes (2012) doesn't perform sub-par fellatio.

Eytan and The Embassy have gigged with OK Go. So with no better excuse than sharing the same stage here is OK Go and This Too Shall Pass (2010) which is just the highest quality indie pop rock you will ever find and a fitting partner to Weekend Warrior. Indie anthems both.
