Holy Bouncer - Anticipation

1.   Who are these angelic looking crew?

2. What kind of magic have they weaved?

Kick arse drumming. Like those old seventies classic rock outs. The man on the skins belts seven shades of shit out of them. Anticipation sound like classic rock played by an indie band. There are bongos. Around the three minute mark the ladies in the back up line join in and elevate Anticipation into the realms of special.

Counting Crowes, Hootie and the Blowfish and Spin Doctors. My Morning Jacket swim in the same pool.

The band compare Anticipation to Joe Cocker, The Rolling Stones and Santana.

4. What do the press have to say?

Has that flavor of old-school rock” – Jungle Indie Rock Spain.

“A carefree, very rhythmic song, with good vibes” – La Mon Magazine.
Garage rock and an irresistible mix of classic sounds and unpredictable turns” Big Thing Music.

5. Who put the knuckle in Holy Bouncer's duster?
Holy Bouncer's influences are The Doors, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Eels, Jack White, Kings of Leon, Jimi Hendrix and R.L. Burnside.

6. Why should I give Anticipation a spin?
Anticipation is classic rock with a modern twist. Uplifiting and a dash of the cerebral.

7. Do Holy Bouncer have any more big swingers?
The Mysteries Of A Curly Jungle is the go to track here, a giant garage rocker.

8. Any more pearls of wisdom?
Holy Bouncer have said that Anticipation is "... about the mistakes we make as individuals, frustration felt by the protagonist to see that people choose a path before knowing oneself, i.e, to anticipate error."

Holy Bouncer do a carefree Arctic Monkeys cover, Snap Out Of It.

“Your anticipation could be anything you want,
and that you’ve lost,
Your anticipation makes you be someone you’re not”

Dessert is served by Ex Hex. Ex Hex are a garage rock band from Washington D.C. who have been mixing it up since 2013. They have one long player Rips (2014) and a short player Hot and Cold behind them. Guitarist and vocalist Mary Timony played in bands like Wild Flag and Helium and the three piece bonded over their love for The Ramones and Johnny Thunders. Don't Wanna Lose (Jan'15) is a single from Rips called by Stereogum “a full-blooded guitar-pop anthem.”

“Come on, take to me, baby, and don't be so cold,
Your kingdom comes from action and not from being bored.”
